Typical in-office treatment:
1. Identify teeth which exhibit sensitivity. It is adviseable to treat
the adjacent teeth as well, as patients often have difficulty
accurately identifying which tooth is causing pain.
2. Clean and dry the tooth area to be treated leaving the tooth
moist, but not wet.
3. Use the pipette (provided) to add 9-11 drops of water to the
vial of powder.
4. Use the applicator swab to thoroughly mix the powder and
water, creating a smooth paste.
5. After the application, allow the product to remain on the tooth
surface for 2 minutes, which will allow initial mineral formation
to take place.
6. Lightly irrigate the treatment area while suctioning until visible
evidence of the paste is removed. Do not rinse for more than
15-20 seconds.
7. Following treatment, the patient should avoid eating and
drinking for at least 30 minutes.
Tips:
 Use immediately after mixing. Do not mix and allow to stand
for more than 3-4 minutes.
Do not forget to rinse after approximately 2 minutes.
Patient in-home care after treatment
1. Patient is instructed to brush with DenShield Shield Builder
daily for two weeks.
2. Patients may return to their regular daily toothpaste while
brushing with Denshield Shield Saver once per week.
